It is a device of the Swiss company Storz Medical, a recognized manufacturer of many reputable systems based on acoustic waves (differently sound, impact). The strength of the shock wave eliminates cellulite, including third and fourth grade fibrotic cellulitis and reduces topical obesity. The device allows you to perform fully safe treatments on a specific part of the body without the risk of complications, ensuring the achievement of maximum effects visible immediately after the procedure.
Shockwave is also known as Acoustic Wave Therapy (AWT). The treatment is characterised by a very high and rapidly increasing pressure, which propagates in the tissue at the speed of approx. 1500 m/s. Thanks to the use of acoustic sound waves, this treatment is one of the most effective forms of fighting cellulite as well as localised resistant and compacted fatty tissue which is difficult to remove with other treatments. Additionally, the wave drains accumulated fluids, nourishing the tissues and stimulating the vascular system to proper function. During the treatment, the therapist uses several handpieces and heads appropriately selected for the given problem, while the patient feels the "impact" of the wave, the strength of which will also be appropriately selected for their sensations.
During the first visit, the cosmetologist should be informed about all diseases and medications taken. The patient is thoroughly informed about the procedure both before and after the treatment.
Depending on the treatment area and the severity of the problem, one or several treatment sessions can be performed.
Storz Medical treatment stages: lymphatic drainage; the appropriate transmitter is selected, which is used to perform the actual treatment with the use of shockwave; lymphatic drainage is performed again; after the treatment, the Patient can return to their daily activities.
