Post-therapy instructions
1. Apply an SPF 50+ cream during the period of treatment every 2–3 hours, and for 3 weeks after the therapy is completed.
2. Do not sunbathe during the therapy period (including sun studios) and for 3 weeks after the therapy is completed.
3. Do not use the swimming pool or sauna for at least 3 days after the therapy is completed.
4. Do not use photosensitive medicine during the therapy period (e.g. some antibiotics, calendula or St John’s wort)
5. Do not use skin irritating cosmetics immediately after the treatment (e.g. mechanical peelings, alcohol rubs, deodorant, soap, spirits).
6. Under no circumstances should you scratch the peeling skin.

Exfoliating treatment with the use of acids in Kandara
Great for sensitive skin. The azelaic acid works as a seboregulator and normalizes the process of keratinization. It also has bacteriostatic properties, stopping the the spread of reactive oxygen forms and leveling the skin tone.

Widely used to counteract photo-aging, irregular pigmentation, cleansing the pores and for preparing the skin for a fraction laser therapy. It is right for sensitive skin as it has large particles which ensures slower penetration of the stratum corneum and does not cause pinching or irritations.

Its main function is the preservation of the acidic coat of the skin at a 5.5 and 6.0 pH level. It hydrates the skin as it attracts water particles to the stratum corneum and stimulates ceramide synthesis, improving and modulating skin’s protective functions. It also has illuminating properties as it supports the homogenous spread of melanin. The lactic acid also has anti-oxidant effect and stops tyrosinase production which is the enzyme taking part in the first stages of melanogenesis. Its gel form allows it to slowly penetrate the skin and minimize irritations.

Has fantastic comedolytic, keratolytic, seboregulating, anti-inflammatory (stopping the prostaglandin synthesis), antiseptic, anti-microbial (reducing the population of Propinobacterium acnes) and shrinking properties. It reduces acne and seborrhea in a safe way and regulates the keratinization process.

This acid works on the epidermis and dermis layers inducting rebuilding processes. It stimulates collagen and elastin synthesis on a level comparable to TCA, but without the inconvenience and causing only a minor erythema. Because of its keratolytic, seboregulating and anti-microbial properties it is highly recommended in treating all kinds of acne. It loosens the epidermis cells connections counteracting callus in the stratum corneum. It smoothens the skin structure (widened pores, wrinkles) and is great in the anti-aging therapy.

Retinol enhances enzyme activity and normalizes keratinisation. It nourishes the skin, makes wrinkles more shallow and counteracts the formation of new ones, and improves the flexibility of the skin. Retinol also brightens discolorations connected with over-exposition to UV radiation, by regulating the multiplying and mobility of melanocytes.
